Earlier this week, 3ML heard the story The Adventure at Sandy Cove. After listening to Miss Lanser read the story out aloud we did lots of different activities to help really get to know the events of the story.
First we used our imaginations to draw the story as it was being read.
Next we retold the story aloud with our table partner – swapping speaker every 15 seconds! We really did finish each others…… “sentences.”
Finally we moved into the sports hall to tell the story with our bodies. We divided the story up and worked with our teams to create freeze frames and action for our section. This was a challenge with only 15 mins!
